IF Multiplexing


Standard immunofluorescence techniques are limited in the number of markers that can be stained on a single slide. Currently, obtaining clear results with more than 3-4 markers on a single slide has proven challenging. Multiplexing methods can help overcome this barrier, and many different techniques that use higher number of markers on one sample are being researched.

In the diagnostic field, the possibility to multiplex markers on a single sample would open up new capabilities for colocalizing biomarkers and therefore gather more information for a better diagnosis.
